VERMONT BUTTERNUT BISQUE

VERMONT BUTTERNUT BISQUE
Scott & Jackson don't really like this. So either 1/2 recipe or make when taking someone a meal.
This is so good, but does take awhile to prepare. If you had extra syrup it almost taste like candy. Had this at a ladies soup night at Naomi's.

5# butternut squash, peeled and diced
1 quart plus 2 cup vegetable stock

Cook squash until tender, puree and return to medium heat

ADD:
1 pint heavy cream
3 cups 1/2 1/2
1 oz vegetable bouillon
3/4 cup (or more - to taste) pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp. white pepper

Heat slowly, stirring frequently until thick.
